Our Car Experiment

Here are pictures from our car experiment. Students had to build a car that could hold up to 6 washers and to find out if mass affects force!

Guest Bloggers: Angel C. and Angelo!

Happy Friday! Angel C. and Angelo were our class bloggers last week. Stayed tuned to find out what we did this week from Gabriel and Walter.

Angel C.
I learned about  volume, decimals, The Boston Tea Party, The Intolerable Acts, Sugar Act, The Stamp Act,The Boston Massacre and The Quartering Act. My favorite activity was the roller coaster. I’m looking forward to building the whole roller coaster. Also, I am proud of doing a lot of work on the ROLLER COASTER.

In school I learned about The Boston Tea Party, The Sugar Act, The Intolerable Acts,The Stamp Act, The Boston Massacre, The Quartering Act and many more. We also built roller coasters out of paper with a team of 4. It's fun in school.

5th Grade Travels: Guest Bloggers for the Week of September 21

Each week, we will have two remarkable students post about what we learned in class and at GES! Last week, Marcelo and Kelis were our guest bloggers. Stay tuned for the next blog. Enjoy!

Kelis
We learned expressions in math, we learned how to use a story mountain and what it means in reading,we learned about our personal narrative in writing, we learned about motion and force in science, and finally we learned about the French and Indian war in social studies. My favorite activity this week was when we did the experiment with the two balls to see the speed and distance compared to the other groups. The work I was most proud of this week was part two in social studies because I worked really hard on that and got a good grade.I am looking forward to learning new things and doing things I have never done before next week.

Marcelo
Hi. This week I learned a bunch of cool things in science. I love studying  motion and I learned a lot of that. We are learning about  motion to help us with our roller coaster project. My group and I have started but we haven't done much. Well, we will finish don't worry about that.  We also got to do experiments  to see what would help our roller coaster.  We learned what would slow things down on on our roller coaster. We also found out what parts are the fastest in our roller coaster. Well, that's all I hope you enjoyed.
